Millersville University

After an unpleasant encounter in the admission parking lot, we were met with open arms in the admissions office.

The 250-acre is located in peaceful and beautiful Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The campus is filled with high-tech classrooms, comfortable residence halls, busy student center, music and art performance areas and excellent recreational athletic facilities.

Founded in 1855, Millersville University has built superior academic programs for students who want to learn and succeed.

Millersville University has consistently been ranked in U.S. News and World report as one of the best master's level universities in the north.

Millersville University has over 8000 students, most of them undergraduate students. There are more than 50 bachelor's degree majors in the area of science and mathematics, education and humanities and social sciences. Education is the number one major at Millersville. The student faculty rato is 18 to 1. The average class size is 25 per class. The average g.p.a. here is a 3.0.

Millersville has an AIM for Success Program designed to assist to students in the transition from high school to college and help them achieve success at the university level. In the summer before their freshman year, AIM for Success Program students are building academic skills and acquiring strategies needed for college success. Students in the AIM for Success Program will have support during their time at Millersville.

They have rolling admissions at this State University but they highly suggest for you to apply as early as October.

They have an active study abroad program

Millersville has 21 intercollegiate sports. They compete in the Division II level except for wrestling which they compete in Division I. They have over 130 different clubs and organizations to get involved with on campus. Perhaps that is why this is definitely not a suitcase college.

This was a lovely school in all ways but I do believe, and rightly so, because it is a state school, I felt they don't necessarily need to recruit out of state students. Millersville University is an excellent choice in further one's education.
